I can't call my Passport Advisor right now. Can I wait until tomorrow?
- Yes, however, processing times are not guaranteed if there are delays in CIBT receiving your documents.
I don't have a passport acceptance facility appointment date yet. Can I still get my passport in time for my trip?
- Please book your appointment as soon as possible and ensure your appointment is within two weeks (14 calendar days) of your departure date. If you need to find a passport acceptance facility location, please visit Where to Apply for a Passport Nationwide
Do I need to fill out any government forms for my passport?

How long will it take to fill out the government forms?
- The State Department estimates a passport application can take upwards of 85 minutes to complete so please set aside ample focus time.
Do I need a printer to complete my passport application?
- Yes. All passport application forms and the letter of authorization will need to be printed, single-sided, on 8.5 x 11 letter paper. Do NOT print your forms double-sided as they will not be accepted and will delay getting your passport.
How do I know I've filled out my passport application correctly?
- Leave that part to us! Once received, CIBT will review and confirm your application is complete and correct. But make sure to follow the instructions in the official kit we emailed to you (not the kit that says “sample”).
How do I track my passport when it’s in transit?
- When your passport is on its way back to you, we’ll provide a tracking number to follow along on the USPS, UPS, or FEDEX website.
My partner/spouse/family member also needs a passport. Can we both go to the same appointment and put our applications in the same envelope?
- To avoid confusion, it’s best to do one envelope per passport per person.
I completed and submitted the government form and haven’t received a response from CIBT yet. Why?
- Government forms can take up to 24-48 hours to be checked for completeness. If you have submitted your government forms and it’s been longer than 48 hours, please give us a call.
