Overview of Job

CIBTvisas is seeking an experienced and highly-motivated Business Development Manager to contribute immediately to our team.  The Business Development Manager is responsible for the following key functions:  the acquisition of new corporate and travel industry clients and other channel partners; the development and growth of current “focus” accounts and sales campaigns; and for meeting specific activity, volume and revenue targets.  These targets will be achieved by consistently performing the required daily activities to build a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.  Additionally, the Business Development Manager may represent CIBTvisas at various client-facing events, including trade shows, conferences, sales presentations and other speaking engagements. 

Job Duties

·       Utilizing pre-existing relationships, referrals and cold calls to establish leads and  prospective clients

·       Preparing sales materials that address specific client needs while creating customized solutions

·       Working cohesively with other departments, to include: Implementation, Project Management,  Operations, Account Management, Marketing, Finance and Customer Care

·       Using Salesforce for all business development activities

·       Participating in local industry and trade show events representing CIBTvisas

·       Recommending changes in products, service and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.

Skills /?Requirements /?Experience

A successful applicant will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated equivalent qualifications and/or 5-7 years’ work experience in a similar role
  • Travel industry experience required
  • Salesforce experience required
  • Proven experience in fast paced consultative sales environment
  • The ability to build and maintain a sales pipeline 
  • Must be able to multitask, manage time wisely and prioritize
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to develop and build excellent relationships
  • Must be a highly-motivated self-starter, can work with limited supervision and as a team player
  • Have an entrepreneurial style, well-organized with a professional, can do attitude
  • Ability to meet all client and internal deadlines
  • Must be meticulous to detail
  • Professional appearance and the ability to positively represent CIBTvisas in all situations.

Strong computer skills including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, GoToMeeting and experience with CRM software (Salesforce).
